TOK Essay Title #1 Tips (for every year, actually)

Organization is essential

Keep your structure legible — a reader should always know which part of your argument they're in. Clear signposting (not necessarily formal headers, but clear topic sentences) helps an examiner follow a complex argument without getting lost. Essays that bury their structure in dense paragraphs often lose marks not because the ideas are weak, but because they're hard to track.

Double check the title before you submit

Revisit your title's exact wording one more time before you submit. It's common to lose sight of a title's precise phrasing after weeks of drafting, especially if your argument has evolved. A final check — does my conclusion actually answer what this title is asking, word for word — catches drift that's easy to miss after living inside the essay for so long.
